Director Francisco Matte Risopatrón

Mr. Matte was appointed Director of Scotiabank Chile in the shareholders meeting held on January 26th, 2023.

Economist with extensive experience in the public and private sectors. Mr. Matte was the representative of Chile in the World Bank between 2020 and 2022. In this role Mr Matte contributed to strengthen the relationship with the institution and promote the dialogue and best practices in public policy. He currently serves as Managing Director for Toesca, asset manager specialized in alternative investments in Latin America. He is also a professor in the MBA of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

He holds a master in management and a master in public policy from Standford University. He also holds a business administration degree and a master in economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
