Scotiabank has been present in Chile since 1990 following the acquisition of a minority interest in Banco SudAmericano. In April 2022 The Bank of Nova Scotia completed the acquisition of a 16.76% stake in Scotiabank Chile from the Said family for approximately CAD 1,300MM.
