Mr. Said was appointed President of the Bank in September 2020 and reelected in January 2023. He served as member of the Board since August 2018, when the merger between BBVA and Scotiabank Chile was approved.
His banking career started in the 80s as member of the Board for Banco BHIF and twenty years later he served as member of the Board for BBVA Chile, where he actively participated in the merger and integration with Scotiabank Chile.
He is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Said Group holding, President of Parque Arauco S.A. and member of the Board for Embotelladora Andina, Idelpa, SM-Salud S.A. and Administradora Costanera S.A.
He is also involved in entrepreneurial non-profit organizations such as Endeavor Chile, where he serves as member of the Board. Mr. Said is also an advisor for the Centro de Estudios Publicos.
He holds a degree in business administration from the Gabriela Mistral University with a specialization in business management.
