Standard and Poor's improved the Outlook of Scotiabank Chile

Standard and Poor's improved the Outlook of Scotiabank Chile international rating.

On August 22, the prestigious international credit rating agency, Standard and Poor's, upgraded Scotiabank Chile's rating outlook from negative to stable and ratified the current risk classifications at 'A'.

Standard and Poor's based its decision on the improvement of the bank's capitalization given its higher profitability, the strength of our controller, The Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS), and our status as a strategically important subsidiary for this group.

Additionally, he highlighted the bank's solid position in the Chilean financial market, especially after the merger with BBVA.

This update is added to the improvement recently made by Fitch Ratings, which raised the international rating from negative to stable and ratified it at 'A+'.
